"I am an artist born from the vibrant energy of Atlanta, Georgia, where the urge to create is deeply ingrained. When I make art, I am creating my own world—a space utterly free of limitations, boundaries, and the demands of acceptance or judgment. My academic journey at Stephen F. Austin State University (SFASU), where I held a solo show and participated in numerous group exhibitions, solidified this pursuit. While my practice encompasses disciplines from graffiti to fashion design, this exhibition features my mixed media abstract work on canvas, wood, and paper. These pieces are a direct and chaotic reflection of my current reality—navigating the intense changes of post-graduate life and early adulthood in my twenties.

The process is as turbulent as the resulting images. My studio is a working disaster: tables and buckets filled to the brim with material that I pour, spread, and utilize with artistic intuition. This seemingly "crazy and chaotic" technique is not accidental; it is a necessary act that translates the energy of my life experience onto the surface. Through this intense, layered abstraction, I invite the viewer to witness the spontaneous construction of my inner world." - K.I
