The mission of Cowboy True is to educate the region about the honor, art and beauty of a cowboy’s daily life.

The Cowboy True Art Exhibit features artists and craftsmen from across the country. Artists are juried into the event based on their artistic skill and strong representation of the Cowboy way of life.

When is Cowboy True and what happens?

Cowboy True is held each spring.  We have dozens of Cowboy Artists of all types, plus music, food, and art activities.

What are the public contests this year?
We had three kids' and one adult contest in 2022.  Contests are now opening for 2023, so check back for more postings!

2022 Exhibitors!

Who was the 2022 Featured Artist?

At the 2021 exhibit, the committee and guest curators selected one artist to be the featured artist for the 2022 show. We are happy to congratulate Wichita Falls' own Bobby Dove! Bobby’s work will grace the cover of the 2022 Cowboy True catalog and be featured in our promotion of the event.  You can see Bobby's work on his website at dovesjewelers.com.
